An investigation into the innovative and resourceful use of space that characterises the grassroots business community of the inner city, celebrating the richness, complexity and inventiveness of everyday design solutions.

An element of Victorian transport infrastructure is overlaid with a series of short-term uses that reflect a complex network of international links, cultural connections and divisions. A single railway arch may be divided to form the base for up to four separate international businesses, some operating from premises of one or two square metres in area.
