"It’s great to see a place that was once so unattractive and gloomy doing everything that we hoped – it’s a busy public space with food kiosks serving local businesses and residents, and a free showcase for local artists. It hosts a market three days a week, with one third of stalls provided free to local start-ups. It has proven itself as a space for large and small events so far and will be an important part of local celebrations for Diwali and Christmas." Shehzad Ahmed, Harrow Council

Once a backland car park, Greenhill Place is now a tree-lined public space. Read about the project in the Architect's Journal and RIBA Journal.

This animation shows the transformation of the car park into a new square for Harrow, with food kiosks, play space, an art display, and facilities for markets and events.

The project was shortlisted for the AJ's Small Projects Award 2023, which celebrates the best in built architecture and structures realised on a small budget, and for the RIBA London awards 2023.
