The ‘Made in Erith’ showcase provides an opportunity for local makers to display their products in a prime town centre location. A new shop window and meeting space recall the shopfronts of Mitchell's Department Store, which was a key local landmark before its demolition in the 1960s.

This project includes the renovation of vacant units on the ground floor of the Riverside Shopping Centre for use by London Borough of Bexley Employment Services, and making improvements to a key pedestrianised section of Erith High Street.

It is part of the Greater Erith programme, which harnesses the entrepreneurial and creative spirit in the town to bring opportunities for regeneration and growth. The programme is dedicated to  working with the local community to help Erith become a flourishing riverside town by rejuvenating existing spaces, enabling new developments, nurturing innovation in the burgeoning maker movement and enhancing all the things that make Erith great.
