We contributed public realm strategies and outline designs to this collaborative area framework, led by Gort Scott and commissioned by the London Borough of Southwark in partnership with the GLA. A significant community outreach programme engaged a broad range of local voices — including underrepresented groups — to shape a guide for the future development of Camberwell as a place to live, work, and visit.
'A significant outreach programme reached and engaged with a broad range of different sections of the community. The council were able to leverage existing relationships to reach underrepresented groups and host local events.'
The framework informed a successful bid for £1 million from the Mayor's Good Growth Fund, and the project has since been named as best practice by the GLA's Regeneration Team for its approach to social value, equality, diversity and inclusion in the procurement of design services.
