Collaborative workspace

A new collaborative work environment for a digital design agency in Borough, providing both a series of flexible creative workspaces, and a gallery and meeting room capable of holding events for large clients.

We drew on the history of Borough as the 'underbelly’ of the City of London, articulating the tension between these two requirements through materiality. The partitions are made of simple black-painted studwork, lined with two materials - rough OSB panels for work spaces and common areas, and smooth curved white surfaces for create spaces for meeting and concentrating on projects in small groups.

Purpose-made light fittings provide uplighting, a display surface, and adjustible task lighting.
