As part of the London Festival of Architecture, we worked with eight young researchers from We Rise Brixton on a proposal for central Brixton, to a brief set by Brixton BID and Lambeth Council. Led by the young people themselves, the design proposed a trail of reusable markers — scaffolding poles, coloured foam sleeves, and oil drum bases drawn from the circular economy — carrying portraits and personal stories that challenge misconceptions about young people in Brixton.
Nesa and Hannah presented the design to the LFA panel; Hannah subsequently joined us for a week of work experience and the project got shortlisted for the IFG Awards 2023.
Supported by Tisserin Engineers; workshops hosted by 3space.
