'Deftly refurbished... carefully reusing surviving fragments. Two galleries are connected by a boldly sculptural floating staircase, using mahogany salvaged from an addition made in the 1960s.' — Deyan Sudjic, Financial Times
We worked with Sarah Myerscough to reveal the original character of this four-storey Victorian gothic parish school in Mayfair — derelict for years, its generosity concealed by unsympathetic 20th-century additions. Focusing on conservation and careful editing, we removed the mezzanine, reinstated the original proportions, and created new double-height openings, producing a flowing sequence of gallery rooms for the Crafted Arts Foundation and its programme of contemporary craft and material-led practice.
