Working with Europa for the London Borough of Croydon since 2018, we have led a multi-year transformation of South Norwood's historic town centre — from engagement strategy through to the delivery of public realm, art, and heritage improvements within a Heritage High Street Action Zone. Conversations with around 1,000 local people produced a co-created plan that secured Good Growth Fund and Historic England funding.
Key outcomes include the Goathouse Bridge railway underpass mural, co-designed and spray-painted with local young people; printing workshops with Harris Academy Year 8s; place branding integrated into new paving; and greening interventions on Selhurst Road. Europa's publication South Norwood in Print captures these layered community voices as part of the area's living heritage.
